At first he can be a little shy, but once he gains confidence, he happily seeks human companionship and enjoys being close to his people. He gets along well with other dogs and also with cats. He is fully accustomed to living indoors, behaves calmly in the home, does not bark unnecessarily, does not destroy things, and does not suffer from separation issues. He also travels well in the car and remains relaxed during rides. On one occasion he bit a child after the child pulled his fur from behind, which startled and frightened him. In general, he gets along well with children, but he would be better suited to a home with older children, around five or six years and above, who understand and respect his boundaries. He is a calm, well balanced dog who is looking for a loving and secure home.
